Education of stakeholders

The total number of attendees greatly exceeded the project target of 300, which was defined when the RoofOfRock project proposal was written. Key target groups were reached and familiarized with local limestones in a hands-on approach. The most important and valuable information and data amassed through the implementation of the RooOfRock project and related activities was successfully shared with and transferred to both the wider public and professionals alike. In each of the 11 workshops, the concept and cases of good practice were successfully transferred to both the professional public and to the wider public as well. On the basis of these practical workshops, educational programs, collaborative projects and other actions can be developed in the future, in order to determine yet more effective methods to get close to people, and to communicate the beauty of natural resources and the importance of good, sustainable use of these valuable resources.
